I CAN HELP YOU RESET YOUR EATING
As a woman and mother who has been on her own health and wellness journey, I more than understand food and diet confusion. After spending years seeing the scale go up and down, trying the next new diet, or setting myself back after months of holiday eating, I clued in.
I have a lot of training on my side. A master’s degree in clinical nutrition and chef’s training from a health supportive cooking school to name a few. Yet, I had a lifetime of ingrained habits of how you “should” lose weight coupled with the juggling of a growing family and career. The up’s and down’s with my weight became exhausting not to mention defeating.
All sorts of health professionals and diet quacks can tell you how to lose “30 pounds in 30 days”. There is the Keto diet, the Paleo diet, the Atkins diet, the Whole 30, Weight Watchers, Nutri System, the list goes on. What’s the best? Worst? What is really comes down to is losing weight (or achieving another health goal), being able to stick with it and staying healthy all at the same time.
A number of years ago, I discovered the secret to success – losing and keeping off the weight as well as gaining my energy and health back. Once I learned that secret to being healthy, and at a weight that I am okay with, I realized that it’s not just about counting calories or drinking a daily kale smoothie.
I made peace with food – and discovered that this is something that will never be found in the next fad diet.

Why Work With a Nutritionist Versus Simply Buying the Latest Diet book or Checking Out the Internet?
Heather’s philosophy on food and nutrition is different than what you will get out of any diet book on the market or from nutrition “guru” on the internet. Diet books, or the latest fad diet, are intended to have you follow a strict set of rules for a limited amount of time. So much more goes into a successful health transformation then a “one size fits all” plan and Heather is there with you to guide and support you every step of the way. Having the support and accountability of a group can be very powerful as well.
How Much Cooking Do I Have To Do? I Don't Love To Cook
I get it! Even though I love to cook, this doesn’t mean I want to spend all my hours in the kitchen. That said, there is a whole slew of evidence that supports the relationship between cooking more at home and an increase in good health. The menus, meal plans, and game plans are a guideline. Meal planning is a key component to ensuring healthy eating and I lay out a month of great recipes, shopping lists, and a game plan to pull it off easily.
None of the recipes are complicated, but if you have not done a ton or cooking they might be a fun challenge. In addition to our weekly call, you will also have the opportunity to meet online once a week to discuss food, recipes and making cooking simple, so you will not be out there on your own!
My hope is that when you see and taste new and interesting foods you will learn to enjoy, and even look forward to cooking.
I believe that learning what to eat for your individual needs and cooking with both mindfulness and ease are two of the most important skills you can master. I also believe that our history around food, our weight and our well being runs deep. During this time together I will give you all the time, and heartfelt listening, you need to tell your story so we can successfully navigate your journey and goals together.
